Holderness Grange: Hull Couple Win £500 Open Weekend Prize

A Hull couple have scooped a ?500 prize after visiting an open weekend to launch Phase 2 of the Holderness Grange Retirement Village for the over 55s at Hedon.
John and June Bell, of Lambwath Road, Hull, were presented with the £500 cheque after entering a prize draw at the event.
Mrs Bell said: “Some friends took us for a meal in the Holderness Grange Country Club and that’s when we heard that the open weekend was due to be held the next day. We came again to look around but never dreamt we would win the main prize.”
The couple, who intend to spend the money on a holiday to Majorca, were impressed with the retirement village concept and the standard of the facilities, particularly the Holderness Grange Country Club.
The Country Club features a restaurant and bar, hair and beauty salon, gymnasium, library, bowling green, dance studio, arts and crafts, and family room. Residents can take part in a wide range of activities, including fitness and exercise classes, line dancing, quiz nights, a Sunday film club and art classes.
Sales Director Irene Heffernan said: “Holderness Grange is proving to be a tremendous success. Purchasers recognise that they are not just buying property but are also buying into a very attractive lifestyle which will offer them a fabulous alternative to existing accommodation options. They will be living independently in their own home, whilst enjoying a real sense of community.”
